    Job Summary – School Chef

    Contact your closest Ivy Kids Early Learning Center for Cook or Chef positions.
    The role typically involves below responsibilities and work schedules are: 7am-4pm

    1. Implements the cycle menu in accordance with Ivy Kids policies, procedures, and established practices, budget requirements, and the guidelines established by the Texas Health and Human Services.

    2. Prepares nutritious meals and snacks for enrolled children; prepares substitute items for children on restricted diets. Organizes and distributes food to the classrooms for meals and snacks including meeting the time of day meal service guidelines.

    3. Practices safe food handling techniques in food preparation and storage.

    4. Maintains a safe and sanitary kitchen, pantry and storage areas. Cleans and maintains kitchen. Washes and sanitizes food service utensils, equipment, and food storage areas to standards mandated by the State of Texas Department of Human Services and CCL; and best practices with regard to food safety and sanitation.

    5. Plans for and purchases all food and necessary supplies needed to provide food service. Maintains verification of food and non-food purchases to meet States requirements.

    • Must have 3 or more years experience.
    • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • Be authorized to work in the United States.
    • Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
    • Background check required.

    The Infant Teacher is responsible for the care, supervision and management of a class of infants in accord with the goals and curriculum plan of Ivy Kids Early Learning Center.

    Education and Experience:

    • CDA or an Associates Degree Preferred
    • 2+ year of experience working in a childcare setting required
    • Must have a warm and supportive attitude and disposition toward working with babies and their families.
    • Must be flexible in receiving assignments or adapting to changes in the program.
    • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Must be physically able to perform the job of a teacher of young children.
    • Must be able to easily communicate in English

    Effectively operates and manages all aspects of the child care center, including human resources, customer relations, marketing, educational programs, financial systems and physical facility. Promotes positive image of Ivy Kids within the community and establishes strong working relationships with state licensing authorities.

    • Be motivated with a keen interest in nurturing children and maintain loving and learning environment in the school
    • 1-2 years of experience as a director to carry out policy and procedures and maintaining budget
    • Excellent leadership skills with building, forming and motivating team
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills

    Qualifications

    Must have Director’s Certification
    CPR & First Aid certified
    Two or more years experience in the childcare business
    Able to successfully interact with a diverse group of people and demanding clientele on a daily basis
    Positive attitude and self-initiator

    Job Summary – Education Director

    Oversees the curriculum implementation of the center. The Education Director performs these duties in cooperation with the director and when the Director is not present in the center. The Education Director reports to the Director.

    Qualifications

    The Education Director must meet or exceed state licensing requirements for age, education, and experience.
    Associate or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education
    Childcare Licensing Director’s Credentialing
    Director’s Certification Preferred
    Current CPR and First Aid Training
    Two or more years experience in the childcare business
    The Education Director must be qualified to drive the company vehicles when needed.
    The Education Director must be willing and able to work in any classroom as needed to meet the programs needs.
    The Education Director must maintain at least 30 hours of training each year.

    Ivy Kids Early Learning Center is actively looking for an energetic, mature and articulate Preschool Administrative Assistant.

    She/he performs administrative and office support duties for Director and Education Director. Duties may include fielding telephone calls, touring prospective families, admissions, accounts receivables, word processing, creating spreadsheets and presentations, filing, etc. Admin facilitates the efficient operation of the school. She/he must maintain positive supportive relationships with staff, children, and parents. Office Administrator reports to the Director and/or Education Director.

    We are most interested in speaking to applicants that have:

    • One or more years experience working with children in a childcare center +
    • Knowledge of TxDpfs Minimum Standards is MANDATORY
    • Be able to drive the program vehicle when needed
    • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
    • Must be able to proficiently read, write and communicate verbally in English
    • Must be able to interact and communicate with children, staff and parents
    • Must maintain at least 24 hours of training each year
    • Ability to deal with children and make good decisions
    • Proficient skills in typing, word processing, excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, etc.
    • Must have strong communication
    • Knowledge of Multiple Intelligence
    • Excellent customer service, organization and time management skills
    • Coursework or degree in ECE, or CDA
